Alexa started saying "your controller is offline" today (Hayward Omnilogic). It is not offline. Anyone having this problem?

I'm really starting to wonder if the halt of this function has something to do with the talk about Amazon introducing a subscription tier for Alexa in a few months

I followed up again with Hayward today and this is what I received:

Alexa has stopped functioning with Omni controls. When a user tries to issue a command with Alexa, they receive an error stating “Your controller is offline”. This issue is being investigated. There is currently no ETA on a resolution.

Hi All! I'm having the same issue to. Its October 17th. It was working before but now just says "controller is offline" Is there a trick i need to do to get it working? Thanks!

Unfortunately it seems to be broken again. I’m getting the Controller Offline message again too.

I'm so frustrated. They used to have Google integration as well and now neither work. I'm not sure what's going on over there but these features are still being marketed in their brochures and website.

I created a case with Hayward about this issue and got a reply the next day on 10/25.

“I am sorry for the inconvenience. This is an issue our team is aware of and working to correct the issue, but we do not have an ETA at this time.

Same. If I unlink and relink the OmniLogic Alexa skill, it works again, but only for about a day.
