Ahhsome water in Grandee

I just did my first purge using Ahhsome on my Hotspring Grandee that has been maintained using the TFP method for the last 5 months since I got the tub and it went really well.
After reading about this and watching some videos I was expecting it to be much worse but really it was not bad. The great part is after the refill, the water balance went great and my water looks amazing.
Highly recommended.

Just popping in to ask about Ahhsome - I bought some last year and never got around to using it.

I'm just refilling the spa/hot tub and wondered about using ahhsome now. The only worry that I have is that my hot tub filter is the one for the pool - the hayward one with the DE filter. Is this going to be a problem? Should I aim to take out and clean the filters afterwards?

any advice appreciated.

I will try to assist. I assume that your hot tub is an extension of your pool since you are using the same filter for both. Ideally, you isolate the spa from the pool with valves. This means that your hot tub or spa is actually a separate entity from the pool but still attached. Go ahead and place the required amount of Ahh-Some gel in the hot tub. Run the jets on high for 20 minutes. Drain, rinse and wipe the bio detritus from the shell or spa surface. Backwash the DE Filter now. No need to take the elements out and individually clean them. The Ahh-Some will actually purge bio-particulates from deep within the grids.
your filter and spa should be ready to go. Hope this helps.
