We have a proven leak that seems to be getting gradually worse. We worked really hard at opening to fill and then clean/balance pool with pond water. Upon opening, our water level was way below where we had it at closing last year. We attributed it to a new liner+warm spring&winter=major evaporation loss. We know there's a leak at the pump. But now we suspect a leak in the liner as well. We are running our well to refill for hours daily. The chlorine and CYA needs have increased as well. The plan was to replace liner after the summer swim season and we still want to do that but afraid it won't be possible. I'm posting to get advice and maybe there are things I haven't thought about and what would you guys do. Right now, my hubby have only gotten to use it a few times because of his hectic, demanding work schedule. We live alone and our kids and grandchildren do not come to stay often.
Thanks in advance!

Have you been able to do any DIY leak detection yet? Did you make sure wtaer isn't leaking out of the waste/backwash line by accident?

The article below may help you get started. Let us know if you have more questions.

We have seen water running down the side of the pump. My husband thinks he can fix it, just hasn't felt like or had the time(hurt back, 12 to 14 hour days)!
And, yes, I'm sure that it's not leaking out of the backwash line!! I learned that lesson the hard way 💯 😌
I will read the article and go from there. And if I have any more questions, I will return!
