Hi Everyone,
I am going to lower my PH this evening. My Calcium level is around 170ppm, and as per my heating manual it should be 200ppm so I plan on raising that slightly.
I've read this Pool School Article and i advises not to adjust PH after adding Calcium Hypochlorite for at least 24 hours. How about the other way around? Should i still wait 24 hours?
Lastly is adding 30ppm of calcium really necessary for my heater or should I just step away and leave the calcium levels alone? (vinyl pool)

Thanks!

Depending on your rainfall, you could go either way. The CH in your pool should increase gradually on it's own. I would monitor it monthly and add CH if you got a downward trend but I think it will slowly climb
thanks! Only a month until we close the pool for the season :cautious: , so I may as well leave it.
