Adding filtration to pool fountains?

Hello there Experts,

Needing some advice.
I have three fountains in my pool ran by a separate 2hp pump.
There is a lot of pollen suspended in the pool and was wondering if it would be advisable to add filtration to this water feature to help clear the water?

Thank you,

I would allow the pool pump and filter to take care of the pollen as opposed to adding another filtration system. You might need to run it a little longer to keep it clear.

You do realize running those fountains is driving your pH up?

Thank you,
Yes, thanks to this site, I know that the aeration will drive up the PH.
Don't run them very often. When I do I will drop the PH to 7.0 or 7.2.
I did up my max RPM run time on the filtration pump to 6hrs/day a couple of days ago.
Will see how the pool looks at the end of the week

Thanks again for the info.

Another thought TC. If you have a main drain and can control it via valves. Shutting it nearly off or fully off will make the skimmers work harder and assist in clearing the surface. I learned that here and wow what a difference is makes.

I have been doing that as well, and it did make a big difference in the amount of pollen floating on the surface.
Have noticed a big difference in the overall suspended particles from upping my max RPM run time from 4 hrs to 8 hrs.
Don't want to add any clarifier or anything i don't need.
Increasing the run time at max rpm seems to be taking care of the problem.

Thanks for the input.
