Hi everyone. We just resurfaced our pool and it got filled on Wednesday. We need to add CYA but have no idea how much to add. We added chlorine this morning and it’s already low again! How do we figure out how much cya to add?
Use the Pool Math app. I would test the water first for CYA...just to get a baseline. It should be 0 at this point being you just filled the pool. Pool Math will tell you exactly how much to add based on your pool and your tested levels. Pool Math is AWESOME!! I’d be so lost without it!
Given your climate, you'll want your CYA level to be in the "acceptable maximum" range. Use the link below to determine TFP recommended chemical levels based on your pool type and method of chlorination. Then, use Pool Math to determine how much CYA (stabilizer) to add.
