Adding Calcium Chloride

I added 25lbs of calcium chloride (100%) by just broadcasting it off the end of the diving board. I noted my salt reading jumped up to 4800 as reported by my SWCG. Should I turn off my SWG until the calcium chloride has mixed?

50 lbs calcium chloride is approximately equal to adding 40 lbs sodium chloride.
