Good morning,

Just wanted to check on some opinions of what I'm seeing. First things first, current test results:

FC - 9
CC - 0
pH - 7.4
TA - 80
CH - 125
CYA - 40 (could be higher, but will raise after slam just due to bleach amounts i'd need)
SALT - Should be 3200 now, I added 450lbs

Yesterday I added 450lbs of salt in two rounds (half the bags in the AM, other half in afternoon). Prior to this I've been in SLAM and water is crystal though I haven't exactly done the OCLT yet though I think we're close. Between 5pm yesterday and 8:30AM today I lost 2ppm. Still had sun at 5pm so I need to test later tonight. Anyways, for the last many days, water has been like glass and no clouds or anything when I brush. Now this AM i brushed it and in the deep end where a bunch of salt was dissolved, I see some white clouds. They would look to me like dead algae clouds but they also look the same as the clouds that you'd see when you first start brushing the salt pellets (I used Sun Gems pellets) right when you add them. Just curious since I just added the salt, is it possible it's still dissolving or is that not possible? No pellets are physically visible at this point.

Likely just dust or dirt in the salt. Water softener grade salt is sodium chloride with no additives but it does often contain dirt and physical contaminants as it is usually derived from terrestrial saline water sources. If you have a manual vacuum, I suggest slowly vacuuming the bottom to help remove the contaminants. You can also add a very small amount of DE to your sand filter to help it clear fine particles better.
