I didn’t keep up with stabilizer late season as the FC was fine and had the auto cover on all the time. Now time to close and cya level is not detectable. Free chlorine is 16. Should I add stabilizer prior to closing or just close after doing a pseudo slam and add stabilizer when I open? Temp here will start dropping to below freezing in the next few weeks.

With a FC of 16 and little stabilizer you are already well into slam mode. I see no reason to add it until you open next year.
