I have an actuator, that has play in the handles. The handle can be moved a notch over when its in either direction. Anyone know the cause. Im not sure if this is normal or broke? It doesn't go all the way either direction it can be moved a little more.

Is this normal?

1980,

Are you talking about an actuator which is attached to the top of a Jandy style valve or are you talking about the Jandy valve itself??

An actuator is controlled by an automation system, while a Jandy valve is moved manually..

An actuator does not have a hard stop.. Where the actuator stops is controlled by where a micro-switch turns on or off.

When an actuator moves a Jandy valve, all you care about is if the flow of water is diverted as it should be.

If you tell us what specific pool problem are you having, it might make your question more clear.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Im talking about the play in the Jandy handle on top of the actualator that controls the diverter valve. The handle on top moves. I have a raised spa descending and I'm trying to rule out things. Its not the check valve. I replaced the guts too be sure.
