Forgive my intrusion. Im still learning ... When I used Muriatic Acid to lower my TA last season, my product was powdered. I, carelessly, dumped it in a sock, hung it in front of the skimmer and manhandled it every few minutes until it was dissolved.
Do the aforementioned warnings upthread apply to the powdered Muriatic Acid? I don't recall any odor whatsoever. Was I reckless and just got lucky? I knew not to store it with the chlorine, but I was unaware of the other precautions.
Hi!Also, some folks here like the acid dosing pumps … that can be a way to dose acid hands free. Another option is CO2 injection which some people have setup for reasonably low price. I like CO2 injection BUT CO2 is often not easy to find in some areas and/or costly to fill up cylinders. So I’m many areas CO2 is more expensive than MA.
