Hi all! I've read all the instructions and think I'm psyching myself out but looking for confirmation.

Our CC level is 1ppm and CYA is 60, which leads us to this point. I used the pool math app to determine I need 13 jugs of liquid chlorine, which I then doubled. Here comes my (probably obvious question). I put the original amount for the target SLAM FC level (13 jugs) in all at once, and then test 3-4 times per day and add appropriately to keep the chlorine levels at the target SLAM FC level, correct?

Welcome to TFP! If you used the PoolMath APP correctly to determine how much chlorine is required for your size pool to increase the FC to "24" which is your SLAM level, then yes. Do that and test as needed to try and maintain that FC of 24. Test about 3-4 times total in a day, or in the beginning of the SLAM you might test a bit earlier, but you'll see a pattern. No need to go higher than 24 though.

Follow all the protocol on the SLAM Process page and you should do fine.

NO. Your target FC is 24.

Test your FC. Add enough chlorine to get to 24ppm. Wait, test again and add enough to get back to 24.

If you test FC and it is 10, you add 14ppm of liquid chlorine. If you test again a couple hours later and your FC is 15, then add 9ppm to get you back to 24.
