I have a Caretaker 99 8-port system with 26 pop-up heads. About 1/3 of the heads are newly replaced and the remainder are in working condition. Pressure at the filter runs at 30 psi on a clean filter. Pressure at the Caretaker distributor runs about 15 psi when it is working properly.
The problem is that the distributor valve is not cycling the way it should. I don't know whether the issue is mechanical with the motor and / or gearing, or if it is in the control circuitry. Can you suggest a troubleshooting sequence that will help me diagnose the problem and maybe avoid having to call a repair service?
I am a new member on the site. I had this pool built in 2003 and have done the routine maintenance and pool care myself since construction.
Thank you.
