Pool Robotic Cleaner Issue - iRobot Verro 500

Current state -

Power works, appears that Pump motor works (propellor works) when in pool, but cleaner doesn't move. Manually try to move wheels, but very hard to move them manually. Removed side panels, drive belts look good.

My feeling is that the drive motor is pooched.

Questions - Can the drive motor be replaced independent of the Pump motor? What is the situation with parts for iRobot.

We inherited this unit from previous owners. Worked only one season, then last year it stopped working.

Any suggestions?

I can't say, but there has been very little if any conversation about these units here that I have seen. Sorry I don't have more, perhaps someone else will.

I think the iR 500 is made by Aquatron and looks like it's still sold by Costco in Ca. Costco has great return policy here in US,not sure about Ca, but without receipt even tougher? Maybe not?

A Google search pull up a bunch of sites for parts

Costco is great here as well but you need to have bought the unit or previous owner would have to return....receipt not always required but they can check to see if you bought it based on your membership
