Advice when FC goes to 0 for short time

Hi... if FC goes to 0 for only a short time... like less than one day... is slamming really necessary (when the pool is clear and all other levels are good)? Normally I add one large bottle of bleach every other day to keep my chlorine within the acceptable level. Well... sometimes life gets hectic and I forget!

When this happens I just add enough to bring the chlorine level to the high-side of the acceptable range... or even up to shock level. But I don't follow-thru with the complete SLAM. Subsequent FC/CC tests show good FC readings and 0 or close to 0 CC.

Looking forward to reading your advice/comments... Thanks!

 Welcome to posting on TFP!!! Only took you 2 years :D

What you are doing is likely fine. Bumping the FC up a little high should take care of it is the low FC is very temporary.
