Finally after 2 years...

Some more progress today, starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, at least for the pool build. Landscaping will be awhile in coming as I really don't want to spend my summer watering, we'll wait for the fall to plant.

So I might have missed it, but how do the two guys working in the pool get out with all the wet concrete around the deck?

LOL poolnorthernva, I was thinking the same thing!! I actually missed them getting out, but they had laid plastic over the concrete at the top of the steps so I assume it was either hard enough for them to step on or they jumped? I kept watching, but I also had to work so they got out while I wasn't looking :-(

So yesterday the builder sent someone out to start cleaning the pool - woo hoo, looks much better but still a ways to go...

Landscaper will be out on friday to do final grade and reseed the yard, remove the stone construction entrance, and cut down the storm water management drain pipe.

Fence guy will be here on monday to install the fence and then the landscaper will be back to install 3/4 inch beach pebbles around the pool out to a foot beyond the fence.

Pool indoctrination will be sometime Wed-Fri next week and then we'll be swimming - woo hoo!

Just purchased a Dolphin Oasis Z5 (based on all your rave reviews on TFP) for my husbands fathers day gift from the fir babies.

So I need some opinions on this...

My fence guys (independently hired by me) nicked one of the pump lines while installing the fence. I told them where I wanted the fence and my concern about the proximity to the lines (which can't be seen as the landscaper had graded the area), they said the would hand dig those holes, no suggestion of moving the location. So who should be financially responsible for that repair?

Do you have a good test kit of your own yet? I would go ahead and order it now so when you take over the pool you will be ready!

Kim

Yep I got the TFP-100 w/speed stir - tried it out yesterday [emoji2] I wasn't sure if when they turned the filter on they added chemicals, but it seems not as I got a zero read on chlorine.

I'm really worried about the damage done to the pool and the equipment as apparently the stone that was used to back fill the pipes was sucked in as the pool guy said the skimmer baskets we full of rock

So it's been almost two weeks, but I think we finally have everything done! Delayed by plumbing repairs and the pool company dropping the ball on getting a portable pump and chemicals into the pool, so we had a green swamp that had to be cleaned up before final indoctrination. Waiting for township sign off today, then I think I can finally breath a sigh of relief and enjoy my pool. Thanks everyone for your advice, encouragement and support.
