I have an 18' ultraframe with sand filter and separate chlorine generator. I got a Hayward Skimmer and have figured out the parts to adapt standard pvc pipe to those obnoxious non-standard intex hoses and fittings.... now for the part where I chop hole in the liner. What I'm wondering about is stress on the fabric of the liner, and uneven pressure on the support posts if the liner gets warped over time. So, looking at where the intake/outflow holes already are, it seems like I ought to go to the opposite side of the pool then over one section toward the original intake (so there will still be a circular pattern of water flow).
I know people have added the hayward skimmers by cutting an additional hole - how has that worked out, and where did you place the hole?
Also, where should the water level hit on the Skimmer?
