I can top that, I have not added any acid to my pool in over 3 years, although for some strange reason I do have to lower the pH from time to time in my stand alone hot tub.

Excellent news. My PH went to 7.4 - 7.5 (hard to read exactly the color), FC down to 11 and cya to 70 and there is no CC in the pool. I will still keep the SWG on off until FC drops to like 7 and then bring it up to like 30% to see how it does. Is there anything else I need to do to maintain a good clean pool? Thanks for all your advice.
Hello. I just did a test this evening and came up with these readings. Just want to confirm that adding about 10oz of acid is the right move to lower PH.
FC = 7
CC - .2
PH 7.9
TA = 130
CYA 80
Currently running my swg at about 25% to maintain the FC levels.

Yes, it is OK. It might cause your PH to rise more rapidly so test PH regularly and add acid to lower it. This will cause your TA to lower naturally over time. If you want to speed the process up a little more here is the process to Lower Total Alkalinity
