Savi Melody: transformer to powerful? Adding resistance?

My single underwater light (Savi Melody) blinks if light more than 15 minutes. Tech support tells me it's because my transformer is sending too much wattage.

I'm getting 12.7 Vac at the transformer (100W Intermatic) and the light is approximately 40' away. According to the manual 12.4 would be the maximum. How would one add a resistance to lower the wattage?

I think there's a 12 and a 13 volt output option. Sounds like you may be tied into the 13 volt tap. Try the other one. There should be a wiring diagram on the inside.
