I am setting up my 14' round intex. I have leveled the ground , now I need to decide what to put under it. SE 30 sand or decomposed granite? I plan on watering and packing which ever one I use and then putting pavers under the legs. The cost difference is not the issue. I just want to put down the best material or the right one for the job. Advice? thanks in advance

I have used decomposed granite for landscaping and it is not a very smooth surface ... many small sharp rocks.
agree, DG compacts better but it is not smooth. Lots of small jagged rocks to poke feet and holes. Go with sand.
Just an aside.....sand is fine but provide something around it so it cannot wash out in a heavy rain. Pea gravel (it's called "screenings" in NC) is resistant to erosion and not very rough at all.
