I have a old heldor clearflo de filter. It works great but I need to replace the top manifold. All of the replacement manifolds that will fit come with a internal air bleed. The old clearflo manifold doesn't. What does a internal air bleed do? Does it connect to the gauge somehow ? Will it be a problem for me?
Help with replacement manifold!

It does not attach to the gauge. I think it is just there to help any air in the grids get out and to the top of the filter housing so you can release it with the valve.
