Clear PVC pipe is no longer clean

I have a clear PVC pipe in my hot tub that the pump sends back to pool from filter
It is no longer clear, as is the small 6" section at the backwash exit which used to help me determine if filter was clean

Any idea what to use on these to clear them up?

Without seeing a picture, my first guess is sun fade/color distortion. If it's kind of yellowed, that's what it is.

It's actually grayish in color
