I recently had my motor fail on my old pump, and I got the parts in and am reassembling the pump. On the motor clamp there is a rectangular cut out (I assume for cooling air) in the case. At what position does it go? On the bottom to keep rainwater out?
i would imagine it would go in the 6 o'clock position to keep rainwater out rainwater, but im not sure, and I didn't notice it when i pulled it apart.
