Dear Pool-Cuers,
Can anyone tell me if evaporation of spa / pool water effects the water balance?
Does water evaporation alter salt, CYA, borate levels (i.e. is it just the water that is lost, leaving the solid matter behind and thus slightly increasing their concentrations, or are their chemicals also lost leaving the ratio / balance as is)?
If I then top up the water with tap water, do I have to worry about adding in more salt / CYA / borates, or are these elements left unaffected by such loss / replenishment?
I assume that FC, pH and TA may be slightly altered by adding in small amounts of tap water.
Thanks - D
