I misread FC after starting to SLAM last evening and thought I had exceeded my target of 28. In reality, FC was 14. This was about 90 minutes after adding enough bleach to bring FC to 28, based on Pool Math and my test results.
Today FC was holding steady at 14, CC less than .5 and the water looks clear. However, I don't know that FC ever actually reached 28 to kill the algae. One variable from yesterday is that reading CYA indoors, it looked like it was at 70 or so. Re-checking in sunlight, it's more like 50. I never really trust my CYA results though. I find it a very difficult test to read and always do it more than once.
Wondering if I should add more bleach to bring FC up to 28 again?
