Hi --
New to this forum.
I just installed a 20x38 26k gallon salt water pool!
The pool company told me i should never have to put in Sayanayic Acid, that it dilutes the stregnth of the cholorine.
The reason is that with 12 hours of pump run time, you wouldnt need it. By salt water level is 3500ppm.
So i took my first visit to the pool store, and they said that's wrong, and that I should put it in, run my pump less (save myself from having to replace pump and SWG before normal).
Feeling confused now, I called back the pool company that did the install. He said to me, look at your pool. Is it clear? Crystal clear? I said yes (its been two weeks), he said then you dont need it. He said if it were to get cloudy, you could simply run the pump longer or hit boost. He said the point of getting a salt water pool was to avoid having chlorine linger in the pool so why would i put something in there that is going to make chlorine linger? He said if that were the case, just get a chlorine pool.
When I check my levels, my free chrlorine was a bit low, but not much and usually is in the normal range.
So what should I do????
This is like going to the dr, everytime you ask someone you get a different opinion!
HELP!
