update: doing well, began shocking waters clearing up quickly.

any danger to pool equipment if i overchlorinate overnight ex. adding 15 jugs 6% bleach.

Did you just start adding CYA last night? How much has dissolved?

I would not recommend more than a couple FC over normal shock level for now.

the pool looked great as of today. crystal clear. I haven't done the overnight loss test officially, I ran out of dpd powder. just got some in this afternoon.

I added borax, will wait 30 min. to get up to 7.2 minimum then will add baking soda to raise the TA wait 30 minutes again and check the ph. will then raise the ph to 7.5.
