I second the OP, just emptied out my pool (42.000gallons) and I'm having similar problems.
Probably extreme high PH-values last season causing this.
However, nothing seems to be able to remove this.

Question though, by filling it up and regulating the PH to the down-side of 7, would that do the trick over time?

Welcome to the forum. :lol: Note that you are posting to a 3-y/o thread.

Nevertheless, carrying your pH down around 7.0 - 7.2 will slowly dissolve it but it may take a very long time.....like this swim season.

So I can actually just fill it up then and hope for the best... sounds a lot better than what Im doing right now....
Rubbing my fingers off by using scrubs and using oxalic acid.... which actually didn't help at all... :-(
