we had major rain and flooding. The pool is still closed, but the filter is spewing water? why would this be? is there a leak somewhere or is it just the process when there is too much water. never happened before. Any thoughts?
Not normal, but you are going to have to help us out with some information about your pool and filter. Above ground or inground. What kind of filter? Where is the water leaking?
My first post so was not sure what to include. We have a 20K gallon in ground pool, vinyl. DE filter. the water was coming out of the pvc connected to the hayward filter. These pipes should be water sealed as the water moves to and from the filter when the motor is on. With the multiple inches of rain, the water was actually above the pool line. could the pressure of so much water back up to the filter? Strange and wondering what this will mean when we actually try and open the pool.
