Do we jury-rig a cover or what (for a lid for a Pentair Heat Pump)?

Hello friends,

We have a Pentair UltraTemp Heat Pump - new with our completed pool installation last month. Our pool and equipment are open air (Florida) and we're getting lots of leaf and pollen pod debris falling through the top of the heat pump and into the unit.

I understand there is a way to either jury-rig a top/cover for it using a lid from a large trash can bin or purchasing one. I've been told that how it works is that when the heat pump goes on, the lid blows open. Anybody know about this or have suggestions regarding it?

Thanks!

Don't know about these, but perhaps a structure of some sort might be better to prevent any impediment of flow?

Perhaps there is something made for them, and I'd look at their website to see. If not, this might not be a good idea.
