With all the knowledge going round here I was wondering if any of you do fish ponds. My friend in PA is fighting her pond this year with algae and I thought maybe there could be some help for her here. If not any suggestions??

Algae is something that everyone has a problem with at some point. The best way to prevent it is having a proper balance. See the next link for a good summary of how to handle it. There's also different kinds of algae, so treatment will depend. http://watergarden.com/pages/pond-algae.html
Here's some older pictures of my pond. I really need to take some newer ones.
Thank you. I have forwarded those links to her to check out. Your pond is very nice. Right now I think I will stick to my pool. At least I can swim in it. LOL
