Adding Calcium at New Plaster Start Up

I'm starting up a new plaster pool and have a question. Isn't it important to raise the CH (Calcium Hardness) to 250 ASAP so that the water does not leach the calcium out of the plaster? Some are of the opinion the plaster needs to cure a four to five days before adding calcium.

Welcome to the forum!

I would first check about mfgr and installer's warranty requirement before I decided. Some want different things, so just make sure you are covered on that. If they won't give you the answer, see the National Plaster Council website for startup. Additionally, there are others who post here and they are well versed in this. Perhaps they can give you more insight.
