winter PH level

For whatever reason my PH has fallen to 6.9 over the past month ... that's a separate topic ... my question is, should I raise it up BEFORE I close my pool for the winter? Or is this something that can wait until next Spring/Summer to resolve?

I'd raise it to about 7.2. It will naturally rise a little during the cold weather so you don't want to raise it too much, but you don't want it low for very long either.

eek! it's been low for a month. Keeps getting lower and lower.

By far, the most common reason for that is using pucks for chlorination.
