I have wall mounted, no niche type light in my pool. I have an inground pool with a liner. Is adding a niche something that could be done? Would it involve digging around the outside of the pool to get too the backside of the wall? Or is this something that could be done from the inside only? I already have electric running into the pool for the existing light.

Adding a niche to an already built pool is a pretty big job. It does require getting access to the back of the wall, which means tearing up decking. If you have poured concrete, a section will have to be cut and removed.
