The S360T filter appears to be made from injection-molded plastic rather than a fiberglass-reinforced composite. Is this ordinary plastic inferior? Should I paint it to protect it from UV? What differences can I expect?
If the s360t is the same tank material as the 244t then No it's a good tank. Fiberglass tanks are the ones where the resin breaks down and gets fuzzy and eventually start to weep water.

Thank you for your reply. That makes me feel a lot better about the purchase. It's the "most boring" $800 I've ever spent, so I want it to at least last a long while.
