reillysmommy- Congratulations! I hadn't been to that part of the neighborhood in a while and I just noticed your pool. Looks great! I've been attending some of the HOA meetings lately and found out that exemptions are fairly easy to get from the board. Glad it all worked out for you.
You could also get an approved building permit. If the county/city approves a building permit, that doesn't leave them much room to continue disapproving the pool.
HOA - A bunch of nosey people that have nothing better to do than tell me what I can do with the property that I am paying for.
