First pool cleaning questions

Hi. I am loving this site and all of you already! We just bought a home with a plaster pool. We would like to have someone come out and show us how to use all the equipment but are unsure who to go with. Talked to someone at Leslies in Lawrenceville, and Pool Place in Cranbury who seem fine. Does anyone have any thoughts or other recommendations for central NJ? We are in Monroe/Jamesburg. We hope to use what we see on Pool School and the forums to maintain our pool after that! The pool is open with a live frog and lots of bugs and dirt but we are afraid to turn anything on yet to clean it!

Re: Central NJ pool orientation needed

Helloooooo! And welcome!

Maybe if you post some pictures of your set up and include as much info with pics as possible, I'm almost positive someone here will build your confidence enough for you to flip the switch and GOOOOOOO!

Post some pics for us!!! :goodjob:

Re: Central NJ pool orientation needed

Thanks! I found out today that it is a DE filter. Below is a link to photos i took today of the pool, equipment and supplies. I'm wondering what we should do first to get this thing clean. Any suggestions? We have a pool orientation on Tuesday but not a cleaning. We're thinking of hiring someone to clean It for the first time since we know nothing. Any help advice would be most appreciated!! It's a plaster pool, chlorine, 121 ft perimeter. I forget how many gallons. Here are the photos: http://newpooljune2013.shutterfly.com/p ... albumId=19
