Chlorine is way too high

My chlorine levels were at zero so I added chlorine and now they are way too high. Is there a way to lower them within a few hours or do I just wait?

What makes you think the chlorine is too high? Why do you need it lower? What is your CYA? Post up a full set of test results.

Well...if the pool is green and swampy, it's probably not too high anymore. And if the CYA level is low, a couple hours in the sun will fix it.

There's really only two choices: drain, or wait. I'd wait.

Now, then...how much did you dump in and why?
