I remember hearing sometime ago that most if not all IG pools skimmers have a sort of built in overflow at the very top ring of the skimmer assembly that basically just allows excess water to flow into the gravel bed surrounding the outside area around the skimmer therefore allowing the water level to not ever reach the liner track at the very top??
Any truth to this in anyway? Or do most folks not count on that (if true) when the rain water brings the level up high and just go ahead and pump it down to normal levels??
