Hey folks,
I'm helping a buddy replace his pump. I had planned to wire it the same way as the old...L1 wire of the old goes to L1 of the new. Likewise for L2. But then I noticed the diagram on his old pump had L1 listed as "line" and L2 listed as "neutral", where as on the new pump, L1 is listed as "neutral" and L2 is listed as "line". So, I'm assuming I should just switch the wires around, i.e. the wire that went to L1 on the old pump will go to L2 on the new pump and what went to L2 on the old pump will go to L1 on the new one. But before I did I just wanted to check in here first because I was surprised by this. Is this common?
Thanks
