Pentair Easytouch water temperature err

I just got a Pentair Easytouch control system installed. When I try to check the water temperature, the system reports "err". The air temperature function seems to work fine.

I see one of the temperature sensors is dangling in the air and another is sticking into the pump outflow pipe. Is this how it is supposed to look? If so, is the sensor bad or installed incorrectly?

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the reply. I'll ask the installer to check it again.

Though I had a similar problem with an older Intellitouch system before. Even had the Pentair rep out. The system didn't give a salt reading. They just told me I had to wait a few days or few weeks. Lived with it for a year before I finally downloaded instructions and found that it was wired wrong.
