Gap between concrete deck and pool tiles - repair

Aug 2, 2012

Just bought a house and trying to repair some issues with the pool. There was caulk between the cement decking and the pool tiles which was in terrible shape. So I am in the process of removing all of it and I am planning on using a silicone caulk.
Is that the right product to use.

I have seen some pools with the same type of decking and it seems to have more of a grout type filling vs. caulk.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would use polyurethane caulk rather than silicone. It is more durable but harder to work with. Worth it in the long run.

You may need some backer rod in that gap. post back if you don't know what that is.
