I have an intex klear water pump filter system, 2000gph. I have installed a thru wall skimmer and now have the vacuum cover for the skimmer. Can I use this style vacuum with this pump or do I need to stick with intex's garden hose vacuum?

You should be able to use a suction vac on that pump. It may not be very fast but it should work.
How does the vacuum actually work when using the skimmer ? Doesn't the pump need water to run through it ?
