Worried About Water Temp!

I am out of town and will not be returning until late Monday night. I have my Mom testing the pool with strips (she couldn't understand the test kit) and adding chlorine as needed. It has been over 100 degrees everyday with very high humidity, and my water temp has come up to 101 degrees. I have an Intex metal frame with a vinyl liner, and I am concerned that the high heat is going to damage the liner, but I'm also afraid that if I just have her throw the hose in and add some cold hose water (which will totally screw up my current chemical balance) that the cold will hit the hot pool sides and cause issues too. Am I just being over concerned, or is this really a problem?

Thanks in advance!
