Ok..I got the hard piping done..but have now realized that I should have gotten rid of the plunger valves. I made the adapters to connect to these from the hoses that came with my intex sand filter/pump so I don't have any of the original hoses now. I searched through and saw where it looks like several people have a pvc pipe going directly to the inlet valve and from the return, but I cannot seem to find any pvc fittings that thread the same. Also is there a way to make the outlet valve push out different? I installed the directional fitting and have the middle pointed to the side, but it still just goes straight out.
