Help with a leak please

Hello,

When opening my pool, I noted that one of the bolts from my Hayward pump would not tighten onto the plastic pump housing. At first, there was a little water around the base of the pump. It seems to be progressively leaking more and more - losing an inch of water over several days.

As you might guess, I'm not a pool expert. What are my options here?

Tighten it. If it continues to spin and not tighten, the nut is probably stripped or free spinning. If so, you may have to get a new mounting plate.

Have you taken it apart lately? YOu may have missed a gasket or o-ring in the reassembly.

It does seem to be stripped since it spins freely and does not tighten. I'll take it apart and check again. So, is there a way to replace the mounting plate without replacing the entire pump housing?
