in the link that linen posted, look for the post from Rªzª on June 14, 2011.. that is the method I used.
Very simple. The part you are looking for is a 1 1/2 conduit box adapter.
You will then take one of the connectors off of an Intex hose & slide over this adapter before gluing on your PVC pipes.

You need? to use 1 1/4 pvc pipe, 1 1/2 2 way pvc ball valve, and for the connection The part you are looking for is a 1 1/2 conduit box adapter. Pick up some rough grain sandpaper also to sand the end of the PVC pipe to make the box adapter slide over if needed.
