Control Box for Pump and SWG?

Hi gang,

I've installed a Goldline Aquarite Pro SWG and had an electrician come to do the wiring, but he told me that I need some kind of control box to talk between it and the pool pump that has a built-in electronic timer (Pentair Intelliflow SVRS).

I guess the SWG can't/shouldn't have power going to it when the pump isn't running. The electrician has not gotten back to me with what I'll need to make the two devices talk to each other.

Any ideas as to what I need to accomplish this at a modest cost? Also, any good electricians in the SF Valley of Los angeles that you'd recommend?

A current controlled relay is the best approach. There is a good discussion of this in this topic.
