I am replacing the heat exchanger and would like to re-plumb it and raise it up 6 inches to be able to have some clearance underneath. Will this cause a problem with my pump??
Shouldn't matter. What are you going to put it on? Why do you need clearance underneath? It just seems like a good place for animals and spiders to hide... :?
Right now when it rains water just sits underneath it and cant drain properly. I would like to raise it a bit so I can clean properly under it and it will drain when it rains. The way the pool pad and my patio meet right there is just not ideal and it kind of causes a bit of a puddle to form right under the heater. Im concerned it will rot. I figured since I am re-plumbing it right now because I had to by pass it while I waited for the heat exchanger to come in and now i have to re-plumb it back to the heater I would raise it a few inches. thanks!
