I can’t decide which one I want to go with…I’m buying the kit from pool warehouse tomorrow and I need to let the sales rep know…those that have 42-do you wish you would have gone 48? Is there that much of a difference? Thank you to those who provide input!

We did 48s and so glad we did. The shallow would have been too shallow with 42s. We have little kids over a lot and it's never been an issue of being too deep.

Get the higher wall - kids grow like weeds.
I have a 52” & i am glad i do. The 1st season my son was on tippy toes but after that its perfect for all of us. If we have really little kids over they usually have floaties or something like that anyway.
Also not sure what your local restrictions are but here if the wall is 48” or higher that counts as a barrier so it allowed me to only put a deck around the part I have buried.
